CPU Trades 2

I asked this question a few weeks back and no one had the answer yet.

But in Franchise mode do CPU teams trade amongst each other? Or is it only the user who can make trades?

I read that there is improved CPU trade logic, but not sure if CPU to CPU is in.

Thanks,

Re: CPU Trades 2

I would love for cpu to cpu trades to comeback. Man, I miss those.

Well, I would love this too, but it seems any thread that deals with franchise matters goes unanswered by the folks at EA. While I am extremely happy that Ian and Phil have been on here answering questions, I find the silence on franchise issues very disapointing.

Re: CPU Trades 2

To my knowledge the only CPU-CPU trading that has ever occurred in Madden was during the draft, and only involved draft picks. Not sure if that's in the next-gen Madden games though as I've never made it to the draft in Madden's franchise mode.

Re: CPU Trades 2

I personally have no problem with only Draft CPU to CPU trades. The rosters of teams change dramatically enough with Free Agency, where the CPU does go out and get players. In the NFL, trades not involving draft picks are somewhat rare. The less of an opportunity for the CPU to do something stupid, the better.

What I'm more worried about is player progression in rookies, and whether the CPU can evaluate a player's potential in drafting. I don't like seeing a team continue to take rookie QBs year after year when they come in a like a 79 or 80, and remain stagnant. I hardly ever see a team draft a QB, and have that QB beat someone out. It's normally either the QB is better rated than their current player, and thus automatically a starter, or sits behind a starter never progressing and never taking the starting job.

Forget CPU trade logic, let them refine CPU draft logic.

Amen to that brother.
