NCAA wasn't BAD, but I didn't enjoy it due to all the problems it has. This has made me a bit skeptical about how Madden will turn out, and those QB numbers Ian posted don't look right at all if they are based on 5 minuted qtrs.

Hell yes man....there was an avalanche of bugs practically as soon as people got their hands on it. Who knows what lies in store for Madden

I've played madden for the full 20 years of the series (I'm 36) but the past 2 years have been the first that I have been done with madden before xmas. If i buy another version of Madden for the 360 and end up trading it in again then EA has probably lost me as a customer. the NextGen efforts have been, imo, nothing short of embarassing.

Re: Is anyone worried about Madden now?

Even though we all have 360s, all of my friends still hold tourneys on the PS2 version. Hopefully that changes this year. I'm hopeful that 2009 will shock everyone and be THE football game, but I'm trying to not get too hyped up for it so I'm not let down. From what I've seen and heard, this COULD be the year. And god.....it needs to be.

I am definitely worried about Madden since the demo won't even allow you to play defense or special teams which are the biggest problems in NCAA.

Re: Is anyone worried about Madden now?

3 things are going to worry me if they are not addressed.

1. cameras flashing
2.score ticker NOT being able to be removed during gameplay
3.features not being able to be optioned "off" like backtrack etc

As far as gameplay and "look" of the on feild action it looks good so....... the only thing that would ruin it is them not allowing you to customize the screen with these 3 things. I say option out the cameras as well I mean Winning eleven options them out?

99.99% sure that #1 and #2 were not addressed. Rewind can be turned off, don't think backtrack can.

Re: Is anyone worried about Madden now?

you just skip through backtrack....

its like an instant replay, you just press a button to skip it.
