Last year OXM rated Madden 08 360 8.5, only .5 less than this years rating of Madden 360 09.

Madden 360 08's average Metacritic rating, polling dozens of gaming review websites was 8.5.

Last year, Over 16 gaming review websites and publications including Team Xbox, 1up, Gametrailers, Gamepro, Gamespy rated Madden 08 360 a 9.0 or highter.

My newly created & geek approved formula for balancing the hype and obtaining an accurate EA game rating is:

Average review score from Gamerankings -7.5% = True score

For example, NCAA 09 is currently rated 82.4 - 7.5% = 76.2

Adjustments rule: After the release of a new version analyze OS posts for 2 weeks. If the consensus opinion of the game is positive then average score = true score (Hasn't happened in awhile I'm afraid.)

Considering they found no bugs in the game, I wouldn't necessarily call them "on point" as far as football goes for now. I mean they managed to "review" Online Dynasty by just mentioning what every preview read and not even playing it obviously.

Then again, no "review" mentioned anything wrong with Online Dynasty. I guess the moral of my post is take reviews with a grain of salt. Play it yourself, and if you like it then be happy; if not, then be mad.
