Obviously I don't know the ins and outs of the game design, but I've got to think it's not a technical matter so much as it is a low priority addition. Think about it, the pro bowl is a franchise feature, one that probably 1 in 10 people actually play. Franchise mode alone has so far been a low priority for EA, let alone something small in it.

I'm not sure why it should technically be any more difficult than loading individual textures for each helmet based on the player's team. Helmet textures can't be too high res, so I can't imagine it's a memory issue. The game would have to be just coping as it is if they couldn't possibly load a few more helmet textures. Even then I'm sure there are plenty of work arounds. I really think it has just been a low priority issue.

I'm sure hoping that soon the individual team helmets make their return for the Pro bowl. Yes...theres bigger issues, but this would be such a nice touch with these newer systems.

Past Gen Pro Bowl is a lot different from next gen Probowl.

Apparently for next gen, they have to render and code for all 32 teams for the probowl.

Whilst in past gen that only had to assign stuff.

Thats roughly what happens, don't quote me on it, all i could remember from reading developers posts.

Its a really small detail. Would be nice.

Personally, I doubt it would be in any iteration soon.
