Is NFL Head Coach 09 A Standalone Game?

Do you have to have Madden 09 to play Head Coach 09? I know that Head Coach comes with the Madden collector's edition this year. I'm wondering if I should wait to just purchase NFL Head Coach 09 when it comes out in September. Do you need Madden 09 to play Head Coach? If I do not need Madden 09 I will then wait and just purchased NFL Head Coach 09 in Sept. I like to coach games and watch them play out instead of actually always playing the game. Does Heach coach need the Madden game/engine to play it fully? If so, then the $89.99 route for the Collector's Edition seems like a decent deal for me. Any information would be appreciated.

Yes, it is a stand alone title. You can import created plays into Madden, but you don't need that game to play HC.

Yes it's a standalone game - and I think it goes on sale by itself next month.

Madden plays by itself. Head Coach plays by itself.

You can create custom plays in Head Coach and transfer them to Madden, if you want. Kinda like how you can transfer NCAA Draft Class to Madden.

But all three games operate independently.
