Madden 09 *Video* - Missing Feature!

Alright,
Alot of you know me by know by my previous Madden Fan Diary Video in my Sig.

I Really hate to do this because, I've had a conversation with IAN already - He had Confirmed that there was no Support for "Co-op 1-4 players". I was highly disappointed, expressed to him my desire for this feature (4 years MIA) and even threw it in my previous video. I believe very strongly that he will work to add this feature in it next year, in Madden 10 (I mean after all they have to keep up with NCAA).

However! Someone somewhere got their lines crossed.
Co-op 1-4 players is clearly printed on the box for Madden 09 is missing. If we are essentially promised a feature I expect EA to deliver. My friend purchased the game BECAUSE of this feature.He had reservations but the box confirmed it had coop so he jumped right in....

It doesn't, Here's the Video Breakdown/Proof:

If its on the box, I have to request that this feature be "Enabled" THIS YEAR through a Patch as promised from the supported abilities on the box and marketing materials (see my game informer mag video). It should be a simple fix (remove that STUPID block that you've coded in there that KNOCKS the 3rd controller off the same team, or prevents it from moving completely)

If this isn't possible, I'll have to think hard about what the community next move is - but an absolute CONFIRMATION that this feature WILL without a Doubt be in Madden 10, would be nice.

(Ive discovered that the Glitch from Madden 08 will still work, though the controller will not be highlighted, this time around...)

I've found a work around, please follow these instructions:

For 3 people on the same team:
(All three controllers must be on and 2 and 3 must be wireless)

1 - Press start on controller 1 and turn off controller 2

2 - On controller 1 go to the controller select screen, and move over controller 3

3 - Go back to the first menu (original start screen) and turn on controller 2 and that's it

If you do it at the kickoff, all three players will be in after the kick off..

For 4 people on the same team:
(Controllers 2 and 3 wireless)

All the same steps as above then...

1 - After moving over the third controller with the second controller off, go back to the first menu (original start screen) and turn off controller 3 now (Controller 2 is still off)

2 - On first controller go back to the controller select screen, and move controller 4 over now

3 - Go back to the first menu (original start screen) and turn on controllers 2 and 3 and that's it

After the next play you'll all be in


But Still, This isnt acceptable, This work around is time conusming and you have to do it before each game.

I'd like this to be addressed, why are we promised a feature on the box and not given it?

yeah four player co-op, two friends on one Side and two on the other side.

I think this is the technicality that dooms you excaliber. Technically, it DOES support four players COMMA co-op.

It's "Co-op 1-4" not Co-op 1-2.

The same feature is printed on NCAA 09 and it feature full 4 player co-op.

What is it with EA advertising things on the box that aren't included in the game? As someone pointed out in another thread, custom soundtracks are included, according to the box, as well.

2K did this with APF 2K8, advertising "Dowloadable content" on their box.
