anybody ask madden in franchise?

On offense I do. I don't always choose the highlighted play though. But I will 99% of the time choose a play from the selection of plays Madden suggests.

I like to ask and then choose a play that I want to run among all the suggested ones. It just makes play selection faster and there are a variety of formations to choose from right away.

The problem with asking Madden is that 80% of the plays are suggested over and over and over so if you are going against a smart weapon you're in trouble.

Madden is an idiot, most of his plays don't work. There's a reason why they put "By Play Type". If you want a screen play, go there and you'll find that all the plays are screens. If you want an inside run play, hey what do you know they're all inside run plays. Use your own scheme and always and I mean always have audibles ready with the same formation to confuse the defense.

I use madden 90% of the time. If i can't find exactly what I want there, then I move on to the Play type screen.
