You are making it too complex. The game tells you which button works for which runner. For example with Duece Mcallister,it says to hit A. And A is fantastic with him for breaking tackles. For some guys it will say Turbo..so you hold down turbo and use the R stick and press it up for jukes.

So just do not take off the in game hints and it will show you which button to press.

That cant be it dude.. that icon tells you what to do before you contact... based on the players stregnths... read this.. its new this year i copied it out the strategy book pg 8

T.C.A (Total control animation)
Users now have the chance to find the right button combination to break away from tackle animations. Tapping the spin button will let users spin then spin in different directions, helping to free there offensive player.

One of the most effective combos is to use stiff arm followed by a spin while engaged. This will push the defender off the players body allowing them room to let the spin move work.

With this type of feature the possibilities for a jaw dropping run is greater and users will be loooking for ways to break tackles and get those extra yards.

Now do you know what I mean?lol

Re: Buttons for breaking tackles

Check your RBs specialties in the depth chart. Some have great stiff arms, some have great spins, etc; use their best one as they'll probably have the best chance of breaking the runner out of tackles. If they have multiple specialties, then have fun with it

Any Ideas?
Use the RB button

Getting hitt high... spin out of tackle push B

Getting hit from side or guys jumps on your back push a to stiff arm...

Did you guys see the video in xbl mktplace?
Who cares of EA used an idea of 2k's.. i dont give a hoot about that, if it makes madden more fun to play.. so be it and im all for it. Heck, a Madden/NFL2k Hybrid videogame would probally make one killer of a NFL game honestly.
