Extreme PS3 Slowdown

Perhaps the problem is isolated to certain PS3 hardware models or maybe the HDD.

i have tried everyting to get it to not happen. changing things not changing things i have tried starting a new franchise a tone of times and it still happens. and it has happened to people with 40gb 60gb 80gb that doesnt matter either

Since you can do it from a fresh boot, what files auto load when you press Start at the title screen?

Yep happens to all my friends and they all have different PS3's (40gb, 60gb and 80gb)

I tried playing Bucs @ Colts in Lucas Oil Stadium online with another friend and I get the same slowdown. It usually starts in the 2nd quarter, and then continues to get worse as the game goes on to the point that it's unplayable by mid 3rd quarter. It feels like a memory leak issue

Setting:
Bucs @ Colts in Lucas Oil Stadium
6 minute quarters Unrated (all other settings are left at default)
Me and my friend both use Classic Cam.

The ONLY slowdown that I see in this game is during online games. I friggin hate the lagg.

Ok I've tried Bucs @ Colts offline now and it still gets tons of slowdown toward the end of the 2nd quarter, and gets even worse as the game goes on.

It only happens when I play Bucs @ Colts on the PS3 version.

Could someone else with the PS3 version try playing a Bucs @ Colts game and see if slowdown starts to happen late in the 2nd quarter?
