How do you stop the QB sneak??

Bringing the safetys up close to the line is the major key. In goaline defense that puts them up right behind the line and your MLB will get in very close when you do that. I control the tackle lined up over center and try to get a good jump on the snap. Ive stopped it a lot of times with that, even a couple of times consecutively right on the goalline, getting me the ball back on downs or causing fumbles. Funny as hell really.

It can't be stopped. 3rd and short or 4th and short free 1st down with the QB sneak. I've only stopped it once and it wasn't really a stop, the guy got the 1st down but he fumbled and I recovered.

there's a counter to any play if you know it's coming, just beware of the audible to a short pass over the middle:


call the 4-6 or 3-4 engage eight

show blitz (Triangle, L3 left)

pinch D line in and crash line down (L1, L3 down -- L1, R3 down)

take control of the SS and line up over center

run commit at snap and truck stick up towards QB
