I'm waiting for the patch.

In the meantime I'm gonna start an NCAA 09 Dynasty so I can get some draft classes.

I'm not playing Franchise until:

1. They FIX it so it doesn't crash after a couple games

2. They update the rosters.

Until that happens, Franchise is a waste of time.

heck to the yes! lol well if you dont play or plan to play franchise, then whats the point of madden....what else can you play besides that and just solely for online games

There would be more online players if online wasn't simply a cheese ball fest. At least the AI is smart enough to punt on 4th and 20.

Yup.

Since you don't have to restart for the patch to work, and since I didn't edit any players, saw no reason not to start one.

My plan is to start a coach mode PC franchise soon to get my "sim" fix with long term (i.e. 10-20 years) intentions, and maybe once patch #2 comes I'll do a few franchises with various teams for a few seasons each since I don't expect long term playability to be acceptable with the AI displayed by CPU roster management on the consoles.
