On fumbles in Madden, why does the play stop when an offensive player recovers the ball?

When did this occur? I believe that there is a rule that only the player who fumbled can advance an offensive fumble in the last 2 minutes of the game?

it would be awesome to see a dogpile with every player clawing and getting off cheap shots to recover the ball. every time a pile happens it would be nice to have it be a tense moment to see who recovered the ball.

Did they incorporate that rule into Madden? I haven't been keeping track of where in the game it happens. I just have seen it happen a lot where an offensive player will pick up the ball off of a fumble and the play will end. If that's what is supposed to happen, then I guess it's no big deal. I thought maybe it was a glitch.

That would be cool. Here's an idea...turn it into a fun and new interesting Mini Game mechanic.

I've seen this too where an offensive player would recover the ball and the play is blown dead. Many times I rationalize that the player's knee must've been down, but honestly, without being touched, I am not sure that matters lol.

its a NFL rule and the game gets it right. I am sure somebody here will post the actual rule.
