Well, he did say they're working on an update. You wouldn't think they'd have to work on a verbal one.

I'm not going to nitpick a single-line post from Phil any more than that though - I'm just happy to know that it's still being worked on.

Actually, I took it to mean that they will be giving us an update on the situation, not an actual download. You say they wouldn't have to "work" on a simple verbal update but there is work to be done with Sony and MS in terms of figuring out whether they can release it and then from what happens with Sony and MS they no doubt have to clear with the higher ups at EA what it is exactly that they can tell us/what is their official statement.

That's true, hadn't thought about that. Plus if it's anything like the patches, it could be a week or two from the time they finish it before it would actually get released. (Clearing it with Sony and MS, like you mentioned)

Oh well, this is why I said I didn't want to speculate.

I wouldn't get too excited. The "update" could be notice that it ain't happening because of X,Y,and Z. And if so, this notice may not have been posted yet because they're still word-smithing how exactly they're going to break the news.

Bottom line, "update" could mean anything.



Not that it matters much for me--non-working fatigue means "wait till next year and rent". But for those of whom things will be added that make it playable for them, perhaps there is hope.
