"I always thought of tight ends like pacifiers for babies, you know, just when you need a little security blanket you know where to go." every time I get a key 1st down with a pass to a TE.

But yes I'm on the Collinsworth bandwagon - I like him anyway and he does a good job in the game.

Since the title of the thread is praise Madden and not Madden 09 or any Madden next gen products I will praise Madden.

John, you are a magnificent beast of a man, very entertaining as a coach and a fun announcer in your prime. I also enjoyed you bursting through that paper banner in the Miller Lite commercial, it always made me laugh.

14. Bobble catch animation. Good job. I didn't see one until I did the install, but I was pleased with it when I seen it.

Haha. The commentary isn't perfect, but at least there's a little personality this year. The radio guy was just awful.

- The menu-music ("together we made it!")

- Backtrack

- The ability to import created plays from NFL HeadCoach.

- Chris Collinsworth

- CPU vs. CPU games.

- The camera flashes in the crowd.

- Player Models

- Field textures.

- The more intuitive "bluff mode".

- Rivalry games (in franchise mode).
