Looking to Buy. Is this game really that bad?

Im looking to buy a football game for the PS3. Im not sure if I should buy Madden 09 or NCAA 09. Im only going to play the offline Dynasty mode in either game. Which do you think I should go for? I was leaning towards Madden because I had Madden 07 for the PS2 and loved it! Is Madden really that bad this year? I mean, can I get a good realistic(gameplay, stats) dynasty going with either game? Please give me unbiased opinions with explanation or tips if you could. Thanks.

I think the gameplay is better in Ncaa. But if your a NFL guy more then Ncaa get nfl. Only thing that kills Madden for me is the CPU QBs. They are going to complete 80-90% of the passes. Nothing you really can do. You will see alot of QB's go for 19 out of 21.

But its still good game imo. I would go with Ncaa

my opinion would be to pick up NCAA. You'll get more long term enjoyment out that game in my opinion. The gameplay is better as is the dynasty.

But in all honesty, mr_president is right, both games have a few things about them that are absolutely frustrating and will, at least its been the trend, wear on you and wear you down to where the game isn't fun anymore.

If you have the PS2 or a PS3 that is capable of playing PS2 games, I recommend getting Madden '09 on the PS2. Its a more "complete" experience.

Its not as bad as people online make it out to be.

Its definitely enjoyable and playable. Its not as sim as most hardcores would want and there are some undesirable qualities.

You can get realistic stats playing franchise. Gameplay can be frustrating on all-madden but is alright on all-pro.

There are sliders that make it enjoyable. i like heelfan's sliders. they're pretty good.

I'd give madden a go if i were you. Its not the best game. But its enjoyable if you're not playing to find faults.

Madden on the PS3 is definitely playable. And they have implemented a My Skill that puts you through various test and then the game adapts to your skill level, which I must say, a pretty novel idea.

You can get good gameplay and you can get good stats while playing the franchise mode. For me, the game got boring. It didn't "suck me in". The game isn't unplayable by any stretch of the meaning, but you'll have to "accept" several bumps in the road.

What are the major things that are holding it back? Especially the ones that sliders cant fix? Sorry for all the questions.
