Was playing a fun game against my friend and this happened... couldn't tell if it was supposed to be a lame attempt at a shovel pass or a glitch. You tell me. I'm the Lions btw.

Haha that is definitely a glitch. That has happened once or twice to me. The Quarterback is in the middle of getting tackeled and throws a perfect pass to his running back.

looks like a quarterback getting off a nice desperation pass to me...

something never before seen in the NFL for sure...

Yeah looks like its a last minute pass on the way down... never happened to me though.

haha i remember playing a couple years ago against my friend on the ps2 and he was the colts i wasn't playing my other friend was i was watching but it was colts vs someone else i cant remember but the colt were inside their own 20 and one play peyton manning was rolling out right and he threw to his closest receiver who was basically right in front of him so he did a shovel pass kind of thing. pretty cool except for the fact that as soon as he let go the ball shot up into the like roof and traveled all the way down the field into the end zone. a 90 yard shovel pass haha we looked at the replay over and over and over again it was so hilarious

watch it again. its not at all a spiral.

It looks like he was trying to pass it right as he got hit.

You are right, it is not a spiral.

But look at this picture. He still has the ball when he is being hit. I doubt thigpen can throw a completion for 8 yards while getting hit like this.
