Camera Views

09 Action cam states "you will never pass to a receiver off screen again". Erm hello? But on quick hits (and all short QB drops)to the far left and right receivers, you still can't see them and have to guess (e.g. WR screen and quick outs). Wondering if this will be adressed next time.

Imho, the camera needs to be lower, and thus wider.

I don't but surely the aspect ratio isn't fixed, if you've a 4:3 "normal" TV. Looked at quite a few Madden 09 vids on YouTube, and the view seems the same as mine. If you've a "widescreen" screenshot, I'd love to see if it's any different.

EDIT: Just tried an experiment, and reset my 360's system display to widescreen, even though its just a 4:3 TV. And you know what ?, there quite a difference in what you can see in field width. (still not quite wide enough though- even though you can't play that way on a 4:3 tv, it squashes the players and field in the other aspect).
So Madden is designed for people with widescreen Tvs and high speed internet connections, with Xbox Gold Memberships and only play online, and drop back 15 yards on every play sigh...

Note to publishers, maybe include a "screen shape" setting within the game please, i.e. widescreen or 4:3. A huge amount of folks still have regular shaped Tvs

EDIT 2: The above even more relevant for the younger player, as even if a lot of peeps have a widescreen TV as a "family TV", most would play on a Tv in their room, which I'm betting won't be widescreen (unless they're loaded)...and I'm very much of the parent age myself, so thiniking of others

Re: Camera Views

I'd like to have a camera with a bigger angle.
I've got the same problem, as example with a curl: i must scramble to the side to see, if the wr is covered or free.

Re: Camera Views

Adding various camera angles were mentioned a ton in the wishlist thread and other topics, so I hope they grant us this wish.

Re: Camera Views

Fair enough, but still (see my experiment above) the game is ONLY designed to be played in widescreen, which isn't about camera angles. An important part of the field is actually missing, when viewed through a "normal" tv.

This very much needs addressing for next year. A video settings with widescreen/normal within the game is essential.

Re: Camera Views

Well, I've got 4 widescreen teles in my house so its all good for me

But the game is designed for widescreen play. It only makes sense. In a year or two, it would be rare to get a normal 4:3 tv.

Heck do they even sell 4:3 tv's anymore?

Probably not, but there are still a huge amount of "normal" Tvs out there. Mines quite old, but was top of the range when I bought it, and I don't plan to change it till it breaks or starts to screw up. Heck its a better pic and sound, than most widescreens I've watched .....its only a small request
