PS2 Patch?

Have there been any patches to the PS2 version of 09? Is it necessary to hook up my network connection for anything besides a roster update?

Re: PS2 Patch?

No. I'm pretty sure there are no patches for PS2-era games.

Re: PS2 Patch?

Correct. There are no patches for PS2 product. Some games managed to do it using the memory card but Madden was never built that way.

Even if a patch were possible, I don't think this game would need it. Job well done.

The frame rate is not so great. It made me go back to 08.

Sounds stupid but to have my question answered by an actual EA producer is pretty cool. Glad to see you guys have a strong presence on this board.

Re: PS2 Patch?

I wonder if the EA team ever at any point gave the PS2 HDD peripheral any consideration, to the benefit of users such as myself and the three other people who bought it.

Sorry to hear that. The frame rate is smooth in my version. Only thing that happens is a slight pause 1-2 times a game between plays, but, as far as on-field action, very smooth.
