I will def. agree with this. When i play madden against anyone I always use Zone defense, I don't even touch Man.

I am guessing he's referring to how much more potent the offense will be if more passing options are added (touch passes, lob fades, and whatnot). Right now if the D is in man, basically one of your best options is a corner route lead bullet towards the sidelines. Now if they add touch passes in without fixing man coverage, those corner routes could be over the shoulder catches with huge y.a.c. because the qb will be hitting the WR in stride instead of leading them.

But back to the topic, I cannot believe how much time I wasted scheming for a game that is as broken as this one is. I am going to try Madden 08 360 and see if the patch actually lets the receiver catch a pass (man d was actually too tight in 08, leading to what we have now)

I ordered 08, but it's going to take about a week to get here... If you give the game a try, remember to pick up the 1 or 2 patches because there was both an INT/FUMBLE glitch that was patched up. I'll let you guys know how things go.

Between the decent man coverage and being able to run the ball here and there with the Colts, 08 may be where it's at. Oh yeah, I forgot slower qb's that stay in the pocket instead of 09's speedy qb.
