Re: Ian's "raczilla" blog

I hear what your saying about the safeties not staying in their zone, but also note this.

A zone will break up and break up bad when the Offensive line protects for a long period of time, so as long it happens in that manner it really isnt wrong.

At the sametime when a QB drops back that far his arm strength should be added to the equation. Now if he can only throw maxs a 50 yrd bomb then his pass will only go 40 more yrds pass the line of scrimmage, and this is when he drops back 10yrds. Just a example.

That means any wr gone pass the 40 yrd range he cant even reach. Just a suggestion to combat concerns with players who drop back very far with thier qb.

Re: Ian's "raczilla" blog

Yikes... I have to say I didn't expect to see a thread dogging my style of play on this particular blog post. I feel like the blog is pretty clearly about how I made a decision between Matt Cassell and Daunte Culpepper in franchise mode, not about my perceived skill as a Madden player.

I played this game sometime near the end of last year so I can't speak with a perfect memory on what I was thinking during the play, but I do know that I rolled right when it looked like the DE was going to come free off the line (the LT does end up making the block). This is with under a minute to go in the half so a sack would have probably killed that drive.

I don't really feel like this is a classic case of someone dropping back and chucking it up with the QB ( I do have a play like that in the next blog so now you're making me think twice about posting it lol). At the end of my drop you can see where I stopped, but then reacted when I thought that block wouldn't get picked up.

Anyway, sorry if the blogged turned you off at all. It's definitely not about pointing out gameplay issues (obviously an area where Ian is the guy to talk to). Just me sharing how I play the game, similar to some of the franchise or dynasty reports you see in the community.

That picture is Ian. It's just that Raczilla is posting the blogs.
