I'll open this by asking folks to refrain from saying "I don't care, fix the gameplay!" Please, don't start with that stuff, lol.

I imagine there'll be an actual coin toss this year with players and refs on the field and a coin being tossed, so under the Madden Team's new mantra of "Everything you see on Sunday, see it in Madden NFL", I began thinking about the placement of the Coin Toss.

During the regular season watching the games on TV, we never see the coin toss except for on special ocassions like Thanksgiving Day games, and Christmas Eve/Day games (when they ever happen). And then we always see it whenever we have overtime and that's during any game.

Then in the playoffs we pretty much only see it during the NFC/AFC Championship games and of course the Super Bowl.

My question to everyone is this: would you want to see the coin toss at the beginning of EVERY single game, or would you rather see it only during overtime, special games, and Championships/Super Bowls like real life has it on TV?

Every game, just maybe a little bit more important in the special games and the Super Bowl. I don't like the screen showing just the coin rotating.

Every game. Like current gen has now. We can always skip thru it if need be.

Every game. It's part of bringing the NFL experience to me. If it can be done in the past, there's no reason why it couldn't be now.

I would much rather see the Coin Toss disappear for Big games, just simulate the results as we watch the Pregame or have it on the bottom left or Right so it is not featured. It would be good if they had the Coin toss for Playoff/ Monday/Sunday Night football but that is about it.

If it was more subdued then that would be a good thing. The Coin toss is not a major presentation Feature in real life so it should not be that way in madden.

Ill comment on this Watcher, I chose to have the coin toss before every game. I see where you are getting at only making it for special games but I enjoy watching the players come out to center field and have the ref flip the coin. It just adds more excitement to the game for me. (As it is now with just the coin showing up is TERRIBLE in my opinion)

However, along the lines of big games they could always just have more excitement in the center of the field for the toss. More cameras, an additional ref, something along those lines.

Side note: It would also add immersion if the crowd cheered when the home team won the toss and the players showed a little emotion. Just a thought.....
