95 Million reasons to fix franchise salary cap!!!!

Ian and EA team,

Please please please fix the salary cap progression for Madden 10. Right now my friends and I are in our 11th season of franchise, we have 54 active players, signed anyone we wanted, and we have 95 MILLION in cap room!!!

I enjoy Madden 09 alot but one of the things I liked about NFL 2k5 was after a few seasons you really had to make some tough decisions as who to keep/cut/trade/sign. In Madden you can just sign whoever you want to however much they want, like I said, I have 54 players and 95 million in cap room!!!

One of the other things that someone mentioned on the boards was player contracts; backloading, frontloading, etc. This gives the owner alot of strategy when it comes to signing players instead of just click click done.

Once the salary cap gets tightened we will also see more variety in FA. Right now you see 2-4 medium to big names each year (88+). If you tighten up the cap teams will have to make concessions as they will not be able to sign all their big name talent.

Also, what ever happened to holdouts? They seemed to disappear on next gen.

I know I read somewhere that franchise is getting an overhaul and I hope this is true. We have played the same franchise mode for far too many iterations of Madden.

I remember doing a sim of 15 seasons back on Madden 05, and by the end every team had AT LEAST 100 million free.

Head Coach seems to be pretty good so far at this. I'm in year 6, only a bit of room free. It certainly takes from Franchise in Madden though.

I think the logic is all contracts go up in value per year unless there is zero bonus money, thus the salary cap goes up accordingly. (Obviously goes up too much though)

That would make sense but I don't see contracts going up. It seems as a 3rd year 94 rated CB is going to want about the same whether you're in year 2 or year 20.

It's like they took the cap increase into consideration but since the contracts don't go up you just bank more cap each season.

Oh...to clarify i meant contracts go up in terms of for example a 4 yr 16 mil with bonuses
1mil 3 mil 5 mil 7 mil

Hope that makes some form of sense. Someone help me out if it doesnt please
