Maybe EA could add ilegal man down field penaly. If your opponent keeps running outside the pokect, then it will be a great chance that you'll get called for the penalty, because one of your lineman would run down field thinking that the QB is running down field.

A QB in real life if he were to ever do this would be able to throw a decent ball, not the weird looking throw as shown by the video. Almost every starting QB in the NFL can throw a ball 50 yards(chad pennington may be the one who cant) there are some that can throw 80 yards IRL(Jermarcus Russel).

I just tried in a play now game on All-Pro/Hardcore dropping back 15-20 yards with Vince Young and they removed all my passing and I couldnt pass effectively enough to get upset if someone tried this online with me.

They are scaling down the stats this year which means slower players and weaker arms in comparison to last years game. Im not saying this will fix the QB drop back but it may help. Other then that I cant say how the dev will prevent people from cheesing because they havent brought it up.

Not 100% sure but APF i believe had a maximum passing mode, giving the QB Maximum passing strength
