Team Styles or Coach styles?

I pulled this quote from the Madden 10 Updated Info Thread. Hopefully someone can clarify this.

Will a team have a continous style of play 5-10 years into a franchise or will hiring/firing a coach change a teams style?

Ex : The Steelers are known for pounding the football and playing great D. If i'd fire Mike Tomlin and hire Mike Martz do the steelers become pass happy team and play poor D?

OR

No matter who the coaches and players are, do teams just play that one style throughout the multiple franchise years?

I'd prefer that the coach you hire is the style of play the team will have. This would make hiring a coah very important in who you sign as coach. It would also affect the players that you try to sign/draft.

if i draft and sign FAs all for the offense as the steelers, they cant still play great D just because they are the steelers.

It needs to be coaches and players man. Otherwise it would be uber lame. 12 years ago the 49ers were an offensive powerhouse, breaking records all the time. The last 7 years they've probably been THE WORST offense in the league. Things change with time. In a realistic franchise mode, things will change if coaches/ ownership does.

Please have all the coaches play with different strategies! And carry this to franchise mode. Teams should build around their coaches philosophies.
