Personally I can't stand ESPN songs so this would be a killer for me. Also, I like having new artists in each madden. It exposes me to new music. However I would love for them to have that, custom soundtracks, and network-specific theme songs (CBS, NBC, and FOX) and some stuff from NFL Network as well.

I know they make money off the artist promotion, so I'd have them keep the music and ADD ESPN/NFL films tracks

I dont care as long as they limit the Screamo crap to a minimum. Me and my friend hated 08's soundtrack cause all that and I wasn't happy to find the first song I heard on 09 to be the same stuff that IMO shouldn't even be considered music.

The last good soundtrack to Madden that I remember actually liking was 04 IMO.

Yeah, I always end up turning off all the repetitive dull mainstream stuff and leaving the one or two decent tracks and all of the NFL films stuff. Or, since I'm on 360 I might just load in some Explosions in the Sky or something that works well as a background kind of thing.

More or less though, as long as I have the option to turn it off, I don't care about the licensed music.

I've discovered a lot of groups and artists through Madden. I wouldn't want to miss out on hearing something new. I don't mind ESPN melodies. But only IN-game. Not while I'm inactive in the menus.
