Lightbulb Player retirment idea

Okay I have an idea for when players retire you should have the option to offer them a contract but if its too low they will just walk, but if you have the personalities from Head coach and they have a different personality depending on the personality they agree to the deal or propose a counter-offer, so then you would not have a false limit and a more realistic way of convincing them to stay. Of course all of that within the salary-cap and if they want so much it will go over the cap then you can release a player with a small amount of bonuses but a fairly high contract overall to make cap space or even possibly make it so you can rework and "move" some money around in Franchise mode to make cap room for their contract. example: you can try to move a player with a high bonus and move their bonus money to the yearly amounts and this is where player personalities would come in again, if they are like say Marvin Harrison or a lot of receivers they are to proud to take a pay cut but others like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, etc. will take it to better the team.

Thoughts???
