Ian - great blog. Care to explain the acc. clock and acc. clock threshold feature?

Also surprised people aren't going crazy over the multiple camera options.

+1,

and it'd be nice if there was a way to edit the Online Roster Files to get the Depth Chart/packages you wanted for every OnlineGame...so so you don't have to pause the game every game

Accelerated Clock threshold? Does that mean we can control how we want the accel clock to function i.e. inside two minutes?
I think it explained it in the blog that you can change how much time runs off or something similar.

Options to REMOVE:
- Quarter Length, Play Clock, Accelerated Clock, Accelerated Clock Threshold (Runoff)

Definitely.

I'm excited about the stat overlays and a lot of the other options.

However, I think every blog from now on should contain at least one in-game screenshot. Heh.

Re: Latest Madden NFL 10 blog: Customization

Happy to see some things making a return along with some new things already mentioned. Was hoping it was Player customization but this is good too. I'm interested about Accelerated Clock Threshold

I would be lying if I said wasn't a little disappointed but then again with the press release happening this week too I probably shouldn't be.

The Picture Remains!!!

EDIT: No it doesn't.

Accelerated clock for leagues and online ranked matches?! I hope so!!

It takes the debate out of ball control offense... very important.

Injuries

Currently found on the "GAMEPLAY"
- Revise from an On/Off to a SLIDER
- Slider should default in the middle, min/max ranges to be determined by the central gameplay team

Fatigue

Currently found on the "GAMEPLAY"
- Revise from an On/Off to a SLIDER
- Slider should default in the middle, min/max ranges to be determined by the central gameplay team

Game Speed
(NEW)

- Built as a toggle with 5 values - Very Slow, Slow, Normal, Fast, & Very Fast (better than making a slider so we can more easily track it's effect on online de-sync rates)
- The actual numbers behind these options will be determined by the design team once the functionality is in place to tune it.

Player Speed Differential
(NEW)

- Full 0-100 slider that compresses the range of speeds between players
- Skill levels will change this value by default

Player Names
(NEW)

- Toggle to allow the player to turn on/off player names
- Options are "Always On", "Pre-Snap Only", and "Off"
These are the areas that I really like.

We've heard about it before, but the Game speed and Player Speed Differential toggle/slider is really going to allow the User make a major impact on how the game plays for them.

I can't speak to how its going to be for online players, but it seems like Franchise players are going to be able to tighten things up quite nicely, if necessary.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Threshould should mean at what point you want the play clock stop accelarating. For example in APF 2K8 this threshould is at 20 seconds left
