Will Madden 10 have fair play for online ranked games?

Agreed...but there are other issues to be addressed as well. For instance, the most Sim game in the world is still a piece of crap for online play when disconnections can be forced on the player winning the game by a sore loser.

Case in point, I am playing some random douchebag on XBL last night (UGAFan20 I believe but I may have that less than 100% correct...the UGAFan part was absolutely in it) and I go up 21-0 in the 3rd quarter; after stopping him on 4th and 19 and taking over on downs yet again, I scored another TD to make it 28-0. I paused and offered him Mercy just to get it over...so he fair catches the kick off and then starts audibling and hot routing over and over again...each time his QB starts getting further and further past the center until he snaps the ball and I get called for offsides...after three plays in a row I get disconnected and get a loss, a quit and my DNF% takes a hit...

This stupid **** is in the goddamn game year after year after year and it always gets reported and always gets left in...just freaking sad...

^^They have to take care of the DNF/Quit/disconnects this year. Just fix all of that.

If they put it in like it was then ill past on madden this year. If they can implemented a liitle better then ill buy it. I cant stand fair play. However, there are some times that you may need to go for it and it wont let you. How about a fair play lobby that will have it like that and lave every thing else the same. I am my own coach.

I didn't realize that was an issue. I used to play Relic's Company of Heroes game, was ranked in the top 10 1v1s the first three months of the game's release until Drop Hacks become so prevalent. I finally quit playing, not because I didn't enjoy the game, but because 9/10 of my losses were guys using the drop hack to avoid a loss. Very, very frustrating. This is something that can be locked down / fixed, especially on a 360 console, and if it's an issue should be the #1 item to fix for online play. There's no reason what so ever to play a game if you can't complete it.

It is the only way to keep the game some-what realistic online.

I hate seeing guys go for it on 4th and 20 on their 10 yd line. That does not make any sense? It is ridiculous and should have never been taken out after Madden 06. Fair play in 06 did a good job trying to keep the game as sim as possible online.


Franchise this…franchise that...... towels.....mouth-pieces...blah...blah...blah….what about online?
Any improvements in this area DNF, quitters etc.????

When will it not let you go for it?
When its 4th and 10 on your 30yd line?
If so that is the beauty of it. Punt!!!
It keeps the unrealistic players like you from playing "monkey" football. There were numerous occasions where it gave me the option to go for it when it was 4th and 3 on my opponent’s side. What happens on Sundays/NFL happened because of the creation Fair-play. That is why they called it Fair-play aka: SIM!!!!


Then again, if you are not trying to play a SIM game and rather play a “football” game like blitz I can understand then.

I sure hope it makes it into this years game since they said there goal in this years game is to focus on making it the most "realistic and sim game".....
