Question for Madden developer or anyone in the know

Are we PS3 owners getting 1080i support this year? Some of us still own 1080i only HDTVs and don't have the desire to shell out money for a newer television. It seems as though topics such as these are around this time of year every year but they normally are always ignored by the development community. I hope that the developers who frequent here can just give a direct answer to this instead of ignoring and leaving it up in the air. If its not featured in this game I would hope someone could confirm it.

It seems like 720p is more of a standard for video games but maybe I am wrong. I would think they would do 720p and 1080p because 1080i doesn't refresh the screen fast enough for games that fast movement.

I could be wrong but that is the way I understand it from everything I have read.

Well its not so much that I have to have full 1080p resolution for Madden, I'm just hoping that the Madden team has taken advantage of the 720 upscale capabilities that allows 1080i only HDTV users to play their games in high def. The Killzone and Uncharted developers used a similar method for their game.

I can't play any game unless it's in HD...spoiled I guess. 720 or 1080 either or.

Madden NFL 10 will support 1080i for PS3 this year.
