That is the fix to me. Literally, if some joker comes out regularly in formations like that, we should make the HB Draw get an auto first down every time. Boom. Problem solved. Roasted.

[Seriously, I will get with one of our gameplay producers about this tomorrow]
Nice...

Re: DB's at LB???

Brian Urlacher played safety in College. John Lynch was a strong safety the lined up 90% of the time in the box. If Roy Williams gets signed this year, most teams are expecting him to beef up and play OLB. Troy Palamalu often lines up in the middle. As for a DB playing DE, the problem is with the line, not the tacktic... A guy showed us a clip of Galloway playing on the end... Fine, but if a lineman so much as touched him, he wouldn't have made that play... This problem and problems like this are all a result of poor AI and even poorer line play that's plagued the series for years now... Speed was/is the only thing that matters/ed in the series like WRs and any other position on the feild... Strength, momentum, and other attributes were all secondary when it came to anything in this game... If they fix thism, like they say they will, a 180lbs anyone will likely never a OL of 250+lbs unless said lineman is a scrub or a play is specificaly designed to exploit that guy, even then, if it were run more then once, chances are the FB would be eating the now undersized end for lunch, and only have to do so once or twice before the other simply didn't want to get hit anymore or the coach realizes that 1. his player is going to get hurt, or 2. it simply isn't working anymore...

Donny is right, people should be able to put players wherever they want. Belichick does the roaming dog defense with no one on the LOS. Who is to say you can't rush your cb if you wanted. It's about adjustments and you should run at that cb until they stop it.

Not to attack this statement, but the overdone hitstick is what makes this impossible... If you've got a player like a Deon Sanders guy, who can't tackle, who'll 50% of the time make the tackle in the back feild... If the guy who's using him has any game with the hitstick, that percentage goes up to like 75%... Which if I'm a player using this style of play is a more then acceptable percentage to risk on...

Re: DB's at LB???

People are hitting the nail on the head here. There are many safeties who play up, kinda like linebackers. The defense for NC State (when Philip Rivers was there, and Chuck Amato was coach) had a name for the position--roverback. His job was the roam the field to make a play, and often he played up for run support. So SS to LB are actually more common than one would think. Darnell Bing (LB for Lions) comes to mind...he played SS at USC. Thomas Davis, LB for Panthers was a safety at Georgia...so it happens.
