Horsecollar tackles

This NEEDS to be in Madden 10 (with a working penalty to go with it). I just remembered this earlier when I was walking back to my house.

Is there any word on this being in the game?

Re: Horsecollar tackles

Meh....I mean how often do you see horsecollar tackles? It's not something that happens often. I'd be cool to see in the game, but it doesn't NEED to be in there. I could go without it because it's rare.

Re: Horsecollar tackles

I see it happen a few times a game. They don't always get "inside" the collar though, so they don't always call it a penalty. Since it's a personal foul, I feel it should be in the game. It's bad enough that penalties have been broken the past few years in Madden. I can't understand why leaving out a penalty that can have a few of it's own animations would make sense.

I wouldn't mind it in the game, but I can live without it.

Re: Horsecollar tackles

If your name is Roy Williams the safety then almost every tackle is a horse collar

I would rather have new and different tackles then just adding in a couple of horse collar tackles that I would only see a handfull of time a season.

Re: Horsecollar tackles

They already have the Ball Strip Move = Facemask Penalty... They need more than 1 animation for penalties and I don't see that happening.

Re: Horsecollar tackles

I'd be willing to bet the NFL will not allow the horse collar tackle in the game. Just like we won't ever see a blow to the head , or helmet to helmet contact. Even though these things do happen in the NFL, they do not want a video game glorifying them.

Re: Horsecollar tackles

We also need that play like Albert Haynesworth did, where the guy fell down and his helmet fell off and he stepped on his head... That would so rule!!!!

Gimme a break... Why would you want something like that? That's the kind of stuff you get in Blitz the League... We don't really need all penalties in this game, just the MAIN stuff... Could you imagine of they added the tuck rule!?
