[quote=Netherscourge;2039491520]Well, look...

  • The Emotion of the NFL – New TV broadcast-style presentation and cinematic cameras bring the suspense and intensity of the NFL to your living room.
  • Enhanced Franchise Mode – Run each aspect of an NFL franchise: draft players, sign free agents, manage the salary cap - just like a real GM. Enjoy all of the action throughout the league via a new, network inspired highlight show.

That's from the latest "Madden 10 Features" list.

Nethers, the thing is that whole "New TV Broadcast presentation" has been in the features list in previous Madden games and it's not what we thought it was. It was basically the commentary, the introduction to the players running out on the field 2 years ago, etc etc.

This is why some folks are a little skeptical. Now the network inspired highlight show seems promising but no one knows exactly WHAT THAT IS.

People want the pre/halftime/post game shows with highlights and narration. People also would love the weekly game wrapups showing a few highlights from different games during the week that you didn't play. Kinda like what 2k5 did.

I will have to admit that I'm a little skeptical as well until we see some videos of this "network highlight show" or atleast more information regarding it.

Well, my fingers are crossed and I'm hoping they go for something like that this year and in the future.

I'm also baffled as to why they took out the pre-game player/weapon intros in '09 - I liked watching my team come out of the tunnel and blow-up helmets - it was one of the FEW presentation ideas I liked and then they go and take it out to make it even more dull...

Nonetheless, I just found it odd that they acquired the ESPN license and have done nothing with it thus far other then game tips from Trey Wingo or Mark Schlereth or whatever his name was.

As for the NFL Network - PLEASE don't give us Deion Sanders... I HATE him as a TV personality. He's terrible and annoying. ANYTHING but that clown.

I'm not a fan of Deon either, but I love Rich Eisen and think if they just used him and Adam Scheffter in their presentation (not including Cris Collinsworth and Tom Hammond), then it would be awesome.

I think Dieon Sanders and Emmit Smith are the most POORLY spoken NFL analysts on TV right now. They invent words and have terrible mannerisms.

They were great players, but they are TERRIBLE TV analysts.

Keep them OUT MY MADDEN!

If EA knew what was good for the game, they would hire a voice actor to do the halftime and post game wrap-ups, kinda like Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe. Except for Cris Collinsworth, every single announcer that comes into a game usually spends no more time than needed to get the basics down. If you have professional voice actors that know what they are doing, they can add a new depth to presentation.

EA will never properly use the ESPN license. It was purchased to keep it out of 2K's hands (they actually knew how to use it) EA is a pretty arrogant company. Why do they need to waste their money on something they don't even use?

Fight Night 3 used ESPN presentation.

But yeah, once again Madden can't use it for their in game presentation due to the exclusive NFL license.
