Well, 2K's celebration system was sick, and the funny thing is that it was actually very simplistic in its operation.

The other thing is, I've certainly felt that Madden's on-the-way-to-the-endzone celebrations have not been very exciting.

Yeah I love 2k's celebration system. It needs to be a bit more dangerous though when you do them, It seems in 2k once you start the celebration it can't be interupted. This is something that would be a great addittion to madden, but they need to be interupted.

Like in the first vid the player barely broke the plain as the defensive player came in to make a last second effort, but his effort wasn't taken into account while the celebration animation was still in play.

If Ian and co. was going to implement this there needs to be a risk/reward system. That could have easily been a strip/fumble before he broke the plain becuase his awareness would decrease for trying to show off and the way he's holding the ball in the palm of his hand also matters. If there was a big hit in the first 2k vid before the ball gets across there's a good chance he's going to fumble.

Here's an example the perfect example. In the Superbowl Dallas cowboy Leon lett celebrating early and gets the ball striped from him in a last second effort right before the ball crossed the plain.

All you do is slowly release the stick as you near the endzone and he performs a celebration, why would you not want that? Again, these kinds of things are more important than adding wristbands or tape to ankles. Some of you have your priorities badly skewed.

Man +million on this post. Madden definitely needs lifelike animations. The game as a whole has just been too robotic. I'm really looking foward to seeing how far the running and passing animations are coming along in Madden '10.
