Def. Edit system, compare and contrast, which do you prefer

This is a comparison thread, not a bash thread and hopefully we can come to a consensus and perhaps persuade that Ian fellow.

Madden system to my memory is Highlight the player then make your edits, help me if I'm wrong. I haven't played madden in about 4 months, but I found this system cumbersome and slow but it allowed for an awesome amount of edits. The downside is most times you're out of position when the play starts and oft times the defender(2 player game) will see who you're editing, but not your edit.

2K system If i can recall, I haven't played this one in about a year, was quick and accessible, icon based limited in its allotment of edits, but was servicable.

I liked 2k system better because of the 2 click approach and the expediancy in which you could edit the players L2/R2 brings up icons and now you just select the player associated with the icon and make your edits quickly without cycling through a whole host of players again limited but effective.

Community guys in your brief play did you guys address the D edits? and how to make them more expedient?

Re: Def. Edit system, compare and contrast, which do you prefer

I really preferred 2ks system. The big advantage to it was I didn't have to switch to a guy to hot route him. I really liked it in 2k8, it seemed easier to use than the 2k5 one. The only thing I really didn't like about 2k's was the lack of changes that could be made to the line. The vast array of dline assignments in play call really made up for it though.
