IMO madden 07 on the ps2 is one of the best ever (next gen or otherwise). The franchise was pretty good, but what won me over (and others) was the player roles. That was pure innovation right there. Oh, can't forget about position battles during pre-season.

Yes they are. I still find myself playing this game. I just don't like the weapons at all. I hope they bring back player roles and pre-season position battles this year.
