People Who Rely on Sprinting Backwards With the QB Need to be Penalized Heavily

After reading the IGN preview I was worried that this would still be a cheap, easy out next year for people with no pocket presence. If someone sprints backwards with the QB then tries to throw an immediate pass, PLEASE PLEASE make it so that the pass is a terrible one!!!

Yea I can kind of agree there. I think the throwing going to be more real this year. Beecause if saw the fallon show some weeks back. He was on madden 10 and when he thorw the pass it went a lot over the head of his WR and it went imcomplete. But yes I can agree with you about that.

I honestly think this is going to be difficulty mode dependent. For the casual fan Ian and crew want to provide them the opportunity to ease into using a true pocket. For the sim community I think we will be penalized heavily for the sprint and chuck style of play. However, they are still tweaking this as we speak so we will have to see how it turns out.

I'm sure that Jimmy Fallon was playing on rookie or Pro mode. Ian already said that one of his remaining goals for tuning the game would be to make you pay if you leave the pocket.

The guy from IGN played on rookie or pro mode, which according to Ian is a much "safer" pocket. But in harder modes the pocket will be set up quicker and if you try running backwards quicker you should be sacked. That's how I see it happening.

i think after five yards, for every yard you drop back the velocity/ accuracy of the ball should decrease. if you drop back fifteen yards , then you are basically throwing a ball with hardly any velocity or accuracy

You will pay the price this year for rolling backwards out of the pocket..
