What will be the roster limit in Madden this year?

If you don't know the answer, how many was it this past season?

55 in the past i believe. The true NFL roster limit is 61 (53 regular and 8 practice squad... up from the 5 it was for several years). I don't remember seeing what the number will be in Madden 10. In franchise mode, they should make it to where you have to select your 45 active players on game day just like in the NFL as opposed to having full access to your entire roster.

I agree with the 45 active players idea. You shouldn't be able to use all 55 players on your roster, especially with none of them being a long snapper.

I may set my own personal roster limit at about 47 and hold a few preseason competitions and "cut down days." 55 (start of preseason )to 51 (after game three of preseason) to 47 (after game four of preseason).

I'd love to see it like Head Coach where you set your inactive players.

Also, expanded rosters for the preseason with cut days... that would be AWESOME.

I like the idea of preseason rosters. The Madden team would have to include NFL80-man off-season rosters.

80-man rosters in HC09 made the preseaon actually worth playing. Its a must for Madden 10. Would love to hear some confirmation on that.

yeah i have 47 as well. i know nfl teams have 46 (45 + emergency QB), but i cant seem to balance my roster with 46. i still keep the extra 6 (53) has my inactive backups.
