Hopefully this is addressed in Madden 10.

Re: Losing isn't the same anymore

And here it comes...my first post after reading in this forum for quite a while:

It is the same for me, losing shouldnt be frustrating because the cpu just puts on a impossible 4th quarter comeback, but because you allowed him to get back in the game because of mistakes.

I remember a franchise in madden 03 (best ever imo) where had a created team and fantasy draft. I had two succesfull seasons with 10 or 11 wins each, but then in year 3, Edgerrin James got hurt in the preseason (out for season) and my runnig game was gone. So I had to try to gun it out with Aaron Brooks, which did not work out too good for me. Result: Only 5 Ws, missed the playoffs. James never was the same again (all hail to 03's progression system: James not only dropped 5 points overall, but also did he drop ca.10 points in the already low injury ratin, and because of that he never played a full year as a featured back), Brooks got worse and my defense was an other year older, making it tough for me to be a Superbowl contender again. (sorry if some of the post is a little off topic, but it shows how important realistic effects of injurys and poor game management really are).

I feel the same way. The only way to lose is to adjust the sliders to make the AI godly. Then its just no fun because everything goes their way. I've always felt like that. I want to go 9-7 in my franchise for a change.

I can't remember the last time I actually lost to the CPU due to solid AI...

This is a good first post. And a good story too.

Re: Losing isn't the same anymore

I know Ian and the team play each other and come away with some realistic scores and such but has he even made a comment about him playing the cpu?

Im sure he has in order to tune the ai but has anyone seen a post about it?

Yea betting the AI season after season does getting boring. Hoefully when you play on all pro this year it will change.
