ball spiral physics...

I wonder have EA improved the ball physics for both madden and ncaa 10 this yr. The balls didn't spiral much at with last yrs games, they were just floating towards the wr's it seems.

No one really knows bout that yet. I don't think this was on the top of the list for this year. But if it is a problem then Ian will take care of it next year.

Re: ball spiral physics...

How about just getting the direction of the spiral correct?

It looks like it has already been fixed this year.

Re: ball spiral physics...

Something I learned on Sports Science - they revealed that while a perfect spiral (no rotation at the tip) looks prettier, it is not actually a perfect pass. There needs to be a little rotation on the tip of the ball to help the ball stay on target. The example they had was Drew Brees throwing the ball going up against world class archers from the Olympics. He was like 2x or 3x more accurate than them, and all his throws/balls had a little rotation at the tip of the ball. So they didn't look pretty, but there were crazy accurate.

Yeah even though not the biggest issue, I have noticed that too. In M09 there is NO rotation, it literally just floats to the WR.

Re: ball spiral physics...

I hope people don't complain too much when this game comes out, Ian said if this game doesn't do well they will have to go back to adding stupid crap like "big head mode" and "QB awareness" which would really suck for people like me.
