Some presentation and other Madden news
SPOILER ALERT
http://madden.easportsfans.com/?p=43
Updates:- Glitches, like receiver direct snap removed
- DB super jump / Super swat fixed
- “Trying to go back and go to the drawing board about why does “that” (ie, nano blitz) work in an NFL videogame. IF it doesn’t work in a real NFL game, then it shouldn’t work in a game” (paraphrased)
- “There is no catch-up code in Madden” Ian, 5/31/09 … Put it on your bulletin boards
- “There is adaptive AI, if you run the same plays or the same defenses [the AI] will pick up on that”
- “I hope this is the year we put 2K5 to rest.”
- “I think that presentation will surprise a lot of people this year.
And then the video cuts out when they’re going to get anything good about presentation. Video may no longer be active. - Scot from AllGames says he’ll get “banned by EA” by playing this latest info. Now it’s just a radio broadcast, no video.
- Confirmed pregame show: Madden 2010 as pregame show. First time ever this is coming out
- A lot of new music in the pregame
- Haha, the AllGames guy “If EA bans me for this, fine”
- ALLGames says, “The megaton feature does have to do with Online”
- Ed Hoculi is gone. 7 officials on the field now, they had to reduce the player models to have 7, so they took Ed out. Perfectly fine, IMO.
- ProTak you can hold the pile up, hit stick it fwd or back, offensive players push it forward, defense can shove it back.
- Grabbed some screen shots of the pre-game, gonna post them up tomorrow morning.
- Video injury choices also in online mode too
- “Play through the pain”
- Online Coop mentioned in interview. Play with a friend. Any position on the field. Custom camera, obviously. We all knew that info anyway. Confirmed 2 vs. CPU.
- Presentation show confirmed in this interview
- NFL TOTAL ACCESS is the pregame show
- Fumble work heavily redone as you know
- Pregame is done in a Sportscenter “like way,” Fran Charles, Alex Flannegan. Information from actual franchise, with a rundown, interactive, skip ahead to what you want. “Jazzes up Franchise mode.”
- Scot from “All Games” is hilarious. He’s shouting at some guy about Franchise mode, but his language seems to be confirming Online Franchise, even though he’s not saying anything about it. It’s pretty hilarious.
- To say it again, the pre-game/post-game wrap-up show talks about the actual progress of your franchises (just offline for now, no mention of whether this will be in the rumored online mode); live stats, covering other games, and so on. Sounds pretty good. That would be slick for an online franchise if it were included.
