as a die hard and I mean die hard 2k guy, I really am liking what im seeing from madden 10. I still play college hoops 2k8, I still love playing all pro 2k8, and nba 2k9, but if all the preliminary opinions and previews hold up on madden 10, I look forward to finally playing a great game of football. I think there are a few 2k guys who are looking forward also to madden this year.

As a 2k fan don't go in expecting too much. You won't be too disappointed if they come up short in some areas, which I know they will.

Same here man, Madden so far has really impressed me so far from what I've seen as a 2Kfootball fan. Ian and the crew have really done a great job with Madden10, im itching to play this game and feel like I'm finally having a true NFL experience for the first time in years.

Any 2k fan looking for the same experience in Madden will be disappointed no matter what. It's not because the Madden team can't do a good job or anything like that, but they play like two different games. Madden can't emulate the style of what make 2kFootball so good, even if they focus on presentation and gameplay. They are two separate games.

This isn't a cop-out for the Madden team though. Their games have been sub-par over the past four years, and this version looks to be like a good first step. Still, you will never be satisfied to the fullest extent in Madden.

I agree with you to a point, but I really believe they are trying to get some basic things right. As for Ncaa 10 I dont hold out much hope for. I think the madden team finally understands that you can put sim aspects in a game and still appeal to alot of gamers.
