Extra Point Franchise Show: Would this do for now?

If there is no possibility of video during the WEEKLY franchise show, but photo shots of the game were possible using the gamepic technology they have... would you accept that until they are able to get video in at some point in the future?

The best example of using photoshots this way is from ESPN NFL 2K4. I have no video of that in action, since for some reason most of it has disappeared from the internet.

The idea for Madden 10, as has been stated, is the show runs down letting you know what's next (like Sportscenter) and you can skip forward if you want. So what if we had screenshots from each game to accompany the stats during the show like this:



Would this tide you over until video can be done? Please vote. I'm not exactly for or against this, I'd really have to see it first, but I'm just curious to see what people think of it.

Naw, I like the effort they put in but they fell short by not commenting on the highlights like the Swami. Dead air is never good in sports videogames or real life games.

yeah I can accept it for now. Like you said, ESPN NFL 2k4 for the ps2 only had the pictures of it. Video always makes the experience more rich but if that's all that could be had right now, it's accepted.

i wouldnt mind pics and maybe some commentary...if no commentary then at least a headline or stat about whats goin on in the pic...

a video would be nice tho...

I can accept the extra point show for now.

Basically, I think of the extra point show in franchise mode as a "glorified Tony Bruno Radio Show". I always wanted the Tony Bruno Radio Show to come back and in a way it has but better, giving more emphasis on the games.

If they had the time to do it, various pictures of the games would be cool and would better address the lack of video but I'm personally fine with the way it is now.

What I want to know though is if they added music/more commentary to the half time and post game shows since I honestly couldn't think that they would leave that type of stuff out (the "highlight lists" in madden 08/09 had music) and I'm hoping that it was just something wrong with the E3 build.

Yeah, that's not good. I think though, if you have them reading off the stats of the game with the gamepics posting it would be at least something as opposed to nothing.

But, I can understand why people would be video or bust on this.

I could handle the pics for now, but at some point i would definately want video highlights.
