New Defenses

I was going to wait to see if they were going to do a blog, but I just watched the Bears vs Jets vid from E3 and it has most of the new ones.

For Ravens and Jets fans

Predator

3-3-5 Odd - I have a blog already written on what I would do with this to make it the ultimate run stuffer.

1-4-6 Dime

There is one other defense in the game that hasn't been in Madden the previous years and I will not say anything about it since it hasn't been shown in any videos yet (not sure if alignment changes were made though). Unfortunately they did not have time to get all the ones I asked for in but AW assured me that they will add alot more next year.

Never heard of the 1-4-6 defense before, is it new or have teams been using this before. If its a pass defense then cool, but if its something cheap and stops run plays like no tomorrow then scrsp it.

Either way, good to hear they're adding a good new onslaught of plays and formations.

It's a dime defense. Rex Ryan used it with the Ravens the last couple of years in key situations. Not too often, but he did use it.

Im talking about a base defense. Like 3-4, 4-3, 4-6, or is it in the nickle? By you saying its 3 safeties, sounds like its a base. With hybird olb/ss smaller olb's that can hit. I might be using a new D playbook.

Well in the Jets playbook it is listed in the Nickel. So it is not a base, but I think they should have added it as a base. I'm going to make it a base. When I submitted it as an idea it was to be a base, but, I know why it is not. I'll be using it as a base though. I'll disclose how later.

6-1 probably wont be , 4-4 should be in there this year, 3-5 might be in, 2-5 probably wont, 33 stack should be in, 3-5-3 didn't seem to be.
