2k5 had play by play (even IF one of the announcers had an irritating voice) that was very relevant to everything happening...Madden CAN, too!

How can people compare UFC commentary to Football Commentary? UFC does not have plays which makes it completely different. UFC just has guys rolling around on the ground laying on each other.

Then how did ESPN NFL 2k5 have very top-noch commentary? They should hire those guys (who are imaginary personalities) for Madden.

Madden has never had good commentary.

People complained about Madden and Summeral. People complained about the radio guy. People complain about the two ramrods in the booth now.

It is always stale and repetitive. It is just not something that is a priority to many. And like it has been mentioned already, to get anyone with talent to sit down and record everything that is needed to keep things fresh and make it work correctly is a big task. My hope is that once other things start getting ironed out this will be resolved.

Most the commentary from UFC was taken from live fights, which is why its so good actually. But I always thought that was a good idea. Just take use announcers that actually do commentary and take a majority of the play-by-play from other games, it could work for football, it would definitely be authentic.

First of all, post me a link to where you read the UFC commentary was taken from live fights...I think your just posting that up and asssuming it.

Secondly it would be very hard to take play by play clips from actual broadcasting games as the announcers are in all different types of environments, you usually need a good sound room to get good recordings, not random stadium booths... Not only that they would have to search and search for every type of line they want to use.

Lastly, EA should just hire talented voice actors, and/or proven play by play guys....Madden picks out guys...and they are obviously bad....yet they stick with them year after year...


Whoops one more thing...EA need to hire some new writing talent for the play by play...and some new sound guys who know how to edit sound clips to sound the same and to flow together better.

What we got now is a boring announcer combined with the fact you can tell each sound clip apart almost...that's horrible
