Yeah, I can't recall man coverage doing ANYTHING for me. I think I only used it when I blitzed heavy, just to make sure that if the catch was made, someone was in the area to make a tackle.

But if I needed to stop a pass, no way would I play man. I had Champ Bailey, and I'd watch WRs who were rated in the 70s repeatedly make catches on him, if in man-to-man.

So no more of balls just hitting dudes in the face and them continuing to run as if it were never thrown? SHWWEEEET! And does this also mean no more of that hop on one leg animation that they do when you press the catch button too early?? please tell me that that is gone.... that is unbelievably annoying.

In all fairness, that 8.8 = 3-4 months of Ian not working on 09, and I would call it a preview vs a review. That 8.8 was was before the game went gold. I know for a few of you in this thread it doesn't matter if it was a preview or review, it's an 8.8.

I would think his review would be lower.

its just funny how every year before Madden is released.. EA says, "ok this year we fixed it"

Take a look at this thread a year ago.. Gang tackling, branching, momentum all fixed and working great on 09!

Ian even laughs at the marketing tag lines EA comes up with.. I doubt he would admit this now though
