Rocket Catch on Madden 10

Off target in routes can't really be adjusted too. In real life, a reciever is going to follow through with the route. He is not going to all of a sudden know, before he makes his cut, that the ball is going to land short.

Adjustments to routes are typically minor. Nothing more than arm extensions usually.

Receivers reaching back for bad passes = OK
Receivers breaking off in routes and moving in totally unrelated directions = NOT OK

I haven't seen rocket catch as of yet in M10 videos.

So my tentative conclusion is thats its not in the game.

Give it two days after the Madden demo comes out to see if there's going to be a rocket catch. Then we will know.

I hate rocket catch as much as anyone, but I would be shocked if some form of it doesn't return. I think it's just a side effect to maddens "more control" philosophy.

If you can take control of a wr and make him stop instantly without respecting momentum and if you can use precision passing to throw the ball high or short, then have what it takes to make a rocket catch.

never knew thats what rocket catch was, i thought it was something different. I can see how thats a huge exploit against the cpu but when playing against someone else can't they just switch and control the DB to stop it? I guess since some dont like to switch and control the DB it is an exploit that should be eliminated. I dont rocket catch and dont play online so i never noticed it or was bothered by it but i can see how that would bother people.

if they would fix player momentum like someone else said, then i think that would help eliminate the problem for good instead of hoping someone doesnt spend hours figuring out how to find this exploit in the new game because once 1 person figures it out and posts a video or says how to do it, then others will know and then it will spread.
