This can be done independently of the regular Madden DEV cycle.
Its called R&D.

But would EA actually invest money in this? Most likely no, because why would they have to, Madden sells regardless.

It takes a company with vision, and a will to innovate, as opposed to just buying out the competition. I just do not see EA as this kind of company.
EA already did, it's called pro tak. As Ian said the game doesn't run on just 1 engine, there are several at work in Madden.

isnt there already thread about this? By saying what you said its just going to lead into that same thread all over again. If this had been backbreaker, the runner would have been flattened and looking like he just died. Good find apex but the video could have been better if you only showed that same clip for 2 mins instead of 5 and then maybe put a clip of pro-tak in Madden 10 to show a comparison.

It's funny cause I could of swore Apex was calling that REAL LIFE moment hugging in madden not too long ago.

Interesting.

I saw this exact play on NFL network last night and thought the exact same thing- that's pro-tak, just with more emotion and umph.

Dude, stop drinking the kool-aid. It's crazy reading all these posts about Backbreaker, it has become a thing of legend for you guys and all we have seen is video's (let me guess you already have a tattoo of backbreaker on your body based on a video). Your opinion is like a a$$hole everyone has one. Your opinion might be right for you but not for everyone.
