The first Madden you ever own

With so much negative talk about what Madden 10 will or will not be. Lets lighten it up a bit. Can everyone recall the first madden they every own. Mine was Madden 92, i remeber the ratings on went up to 15. That was the good old days when we didn't know anything about running animations. When the limitation of the game system made you happy with whatever improvements they put into the game.

Madden 99 for the PC. They had closeups of players standing around after the play, and you could see their shoulders moving up and down like they were breathing! Amazing!

BTW, that game had the option to create playbooks from scratch and assign them to CPU teams. I'm STILL waiting for that feature/option to make a comeback.

The first Madden I had was the very first that was released for video game consoles: John Madden Football for the Sega Genesis. I remember Joe Montana football was getting all the hype because of the commercials that were running every 2 minutes on TV, and I was going to get it for Christmas that year, but then my friend showed me a video game magazine featuring John Madden football. I saw some cool pics of the game and I was sold. I asked my parents for John Madden Football instead lol.

I definitely played older football games including Madden, but the first one that I purchased and played a ton of was Madden 2001 with Eddie George on the cover. I had just gotten my ps2 and seeing the close-up of the ball spinning in the air looked amazing on the big screen. I've been hooked ever since.

The orginal John Madden Football for the Genesis. Have owned and still have every single one after it.
