Re: 1080P

I don't think any game runs natively at 1080p they just upscale which is why there is little difference

Re: 1080P

I would rather have 720p than 1080i, because 720p has a better resolution than 1080i.

Regardless what resolution it is; I've never got madden to look good. Is there a trick to make it look nice like the pictures and video demos they put up?

You wouldn't really notice on 360 but you should be able to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on PS3 with HDMI. Unless maybe it's not 1080p native?

Re: 1080P

So much wrong information in this thread...... Many, Many games run 1080p Natively on the XBox 360. Second Ian said Xbox 360 is getting a 1080p version and Ps3 1080i, but in his opinion 720p looks better on the Ps3 as it closer to it's actual native resolution.

With that said unless your playing on a screen larger than 42" you would hardly tell the difference if any between 720p,1080i,1080p.

Re: 1080P

The 360 upscales. The PS3 doesn't. The game itself is not being rendered in full 1080p on either system.

Besides that, unless you're closer than about 5 feet from your TV, there's no difference anyway.

ahhh now we are getting to the art of picture quality.......you need to play with the picture quality. depending on your tv, it will take some trys to get the right picture.

what tv do you have? i can give you my settings most tv's have 3 predetermined settings ( dynamic, standard, movie) i usually take the movie setting and adjust it .
