Re: Cassel?

Mitchell's career didn't develop as brightly because of injuries, and injuries are impossible to forecast. He still had a moderately decent career as a veteran backup after the Lions seasons.

From your run & shoot thread to this you are reading my mind or something.

I saw Cassel on ESPN today and the first thing I thought of was Scott Mitchell.

There's such a dearth of quality QBs in the NFL today that if you show any flash coming off the bench some team is going to give you a huge pay day.

Re: Cassel?

Matt Cassell...

Kansas City is nothing like New England. They don't even come close to the talent and coaching (and cheating) that New England has.

Re: Cassel?

Yeah I don't really expect much out of Cassel with the Chiefs, so if he has any success I will be pleasantly surprised. I still have nightmares of when the Bills signed Rob Johnson though so I'm scared for the Chiefs.

Re: Cassel?

I think he should do pretty well... now that the chiefs have Haley (the offensive coordinator from the Cardinals last year).... He won't be as good as he was last year probably with New England... But he's got Bowe still.. I think he will do about average or perhaps a little above average for a QB...
